This Oak window was made to replace an inappropriate UPVC window in a 17th C cottage.
The frame is constucted using pegged mortice and tenon joints, and chamfered to give a mullioned appearence.
The pegs that holding frame and casements together are clearly visible.
The surface shows subtle tool marks.
The wood is left unfinished and will weather down to a lovely silver grey.
