This Oak window was made to replace an inappropriate UPVC window in a 17th C cottage.The frame constuction is pegged mortice and tenon joints.The frame is chamfered to give a mullioned appearence.The pegs that hold both frame and casements together are visible .The surface shows the subtle marks left from the tools which made them.The wood has been left unfinished to weather down to a lovely silver grey.
